The 3-in-1 MetalFab from xTool combines a 1200W laser cutter, cleaner, and welding machine in one device. Weld, cut, or clean common metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, brass, carbon steel, and galvanized sheet metal easily and portably by hand. Access over 108 laser parameters on the smart display, or set your own parameters in the free xTool software.
Welding
Thanks to fiber laser technology, the heat-affected zone is minimized to ≤ 0.05 mm. This allows precise welding of even thin metals without deformation. Whether it’s butt joints, lap joints, fillet welds, or circular welds – the MetalFab offers full flexibility. For example, with the welding nozzle you can weld stainless steel/carbon steel up to 5 mm thick.
Cutting
With the portable cutting nozzle, the MetalFab 1200W also allows handheld metal cutting. This is especially useful for hard-to-reach areas or simple cuts. For example, stainless steel/carbon steel up to 5 mm thick can be cut by hand.
In combination with the CNC unit, burr-free cuts on carbon steel or galvanized sheet metal up to 10 mm thick can be achieved.
Cleaning
Remove rust, paint, and dirt with the 1 cm wide cleaning nozzle without damaging your material. Whether you want to clean bike chains, tools, or other pre-made metal workpieces – the portable unit makes it easy to derust even hard-to-reach areas.
High-quality manufacturing, a Coherent chip, advanced temperature adjustment, thermal management, and powerful cooling ensure stable welding performance even under extreme conditions. The device has a manufacturer-rated service life of 10000 working hours.
The xTool MetalFab is CE, FCC, and FDA certified, meeting strict safety and quality standards.

The Makeblock success story began in 2012 when Jasen Wang, the founder and CEO, had a groundbreaking idea. As a passionate maker, Jasen realised how difficult it can be to turn a creative idea into reality. This drive gave rise to his first project: Makeblock.
Makeblock specialises in promoting STEAM education. The company helps young students develop their creativity by developing educational infrastructure - including robotics modules, coding software and laser cutters. The aim is to give pupils the tools to learn technical knowledge and creative skills through play.
At the end of 2020, Makeblock expanded its portfolio and entered the field of laser machines. With the xTool project, the product range was expanded so that not only students but also adults can benefit from the solutions. Creativity is not just about developing programming robots - it is also about personalising everyday objects, such as engraving names on mugs or creating works of art from wood.
With the launch of the first product, the xTool D1 in 2021, Jasen started a new chapter in his vision. While the Makeblock success story continues, xTool marks the start of an exciting new episode.
