Guarantee conditions of medacom GmbH (status: 08/2022)

The warranty for our products (with the exception of Brother and Epson products) for which a warranty period is specified in the product description are covered by:

For these products, the guarantee conditions of Brother Sewing Machines Europe GmbH apply, in deviation from the guarantee conditions of medacom GmbH.

For ScanNCut products sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, medacom GmbH handles the warranty processing for Brother Sewing Machines Europe GmbH.

Warranty conditions for Epson products:

The guarantee for Epson brand products is not provided by medacom GmbH. In contrast to the guarantee conditions of medacom GmbH, the guarantee conditions of Epson apply to these products. You can view these here:

Warranty conditions for all other products:

The warranty claim is in addition to our warranty obligation, which is not limited by this warranty. The warranty obligation is claimed free of charge.
The guarantee is valid for end consumers within the meaning of §13 BGB. For commercial use, i.e. entrepreneurs in accordance with §14 Para. 1 BGB, the guarantee period is reduced by half.

The guarantee period applies from the date of purchase and is stated with the product. The guarantee applies to deliveries within the European Union.
Our guarantee applies to factory defects and material faults. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the product at the discretion of medacom GmbH.

Consequential damages such as unusable materials or loss of profit are excluded from this guarantee.
The guarantee is bound to the respective product and remains in force in the event of any resale.


If the product is replaced, medacom GmbH is entitled to provide the warranty holder with an equivalent replacement unit.
The warranty period is not extended by an exchange: the remaining warranty of the originally purchased product applies.


Parts that are removed from a product for repair purposes become the property of medacom GmbH. Parts that are installed in a product for repair become the property of the warranty holder.

If applicable, installed parts are granted the remaining warranty period of the original product.

A repair does not extend the warranty period of a product, the remaining warranty of the originally purchased product applies.

Excluded from this warranty are
- Cutting blades, pins, blade holders and cutting mats
- Other parts that require regular maintenance or replacement and are subject to normal wear and tear
- Consumables (e.g. but not limited to inks, maintenance tanks, iron-on foils, laser diodes, cutting mats, laser tubes, etc.)
- Products used before purchase and demonstration models, with the exception of products that are certified as ‘refurbished’

The warranty claim expires in the event of
- Damage caused by improper handling of the product
- Damage caused by the use of force (e.g. impact, shock, drop)
- Damage caused by environmental influences (such as moisture, heat, dirt, etc.)
- Non-observance of the operating instructions
- Sending in packaging that is unsafe for transport
- Modifications to the product (including attempted repairs without prior authorisation from medacom GmbH)
