MTC MT-AlSi5 is an aluminum welding wire based on an aluminum-silicon alloy and is suitable as a filler material for laser welding aluminum and suitable aluminum-silicon alloys. The wire enables controlled addition of welding filler material, making it suitable for precise welding applications with the xTool MetalFab.

For Aluminum and Aluminum-Silicon Alloys

MT-AlSi5 corresponds to the ER 4043 / AlSi5(A) classification and is designed for processing aluminum and suitable aluminum-silicon alloys.

The filler material is suitable for AlSi5, among other materials, and can be used during laser welding to supplement the weld metal. The addition of aluminum-silicon welding wire enables targeted material deposition and supports the production of uniform weld seams.

Ideal for Precise Laser Welding

The 0.047 in (1.2 mm) welding wire is suitable for use with the wire feeder of the xTool MetalFab. The 7 kg K300 spool provides a compact solution for processing aluminum in manufacturing, repair work, and custom welding applications.

Argon can be used as a shielding gas when laser welding aluminum. The shielding gas protects the weld pool from contact with the surrounding air during the welding process, thereby contributing to a controlled welding process.
