The xTool RA3 MagSwap™ Rotary Attachment allows you to engrave a wide range of cylindrical objects such as mugs, rings, vases, glasses, bottles, and much more.
The improved plug-in system lets you reconfigure the rotary attachment within seconds so it perfectly fits your application.
Auto-Detection with the xTool P3
When used with the xTool P3, the rotary attachment is automatically detected by your laser, and a 3D preview of your workpiece is created in the software. Even complex shapes, such as vases with varying diameters, are automatically detected thanks to the new xTool P3 technology, and the focus is adjusted accordingly for even better results.
Optional Batch Production
Optionally, you can connect multiple xTool rotary units in sequence to engrave several candle glasses or similar objects simultaneously, making series production much easier.
The RA3 Rotary Attachment is only compatible with the xTool P3.
The RA3 offers the following modes and diameters:
Roller Mode (3–198 mm diameter)
- Two rollers rotate the object
- Ideal for various cylindrical items such as tealight holders, drinking glasses, and more
- Can be used with multiple rollers for batch production
Chuck Mode (0–130 mm diameter)
- Object is clamped and rotated
- Perfect for complex shapes with varying thickness or handles such as tumblers, bottles, mugs, etc.
Sphere Mode (25–100 mm diameter)
- Object is clamped on one side and secured with pins on the other
- Suitable for spherical objects such as Christmas ornaments, baseballs, etc.
Ring Mode (11–70 mm diameter)

The Makeblock success story began in 2012 when Jasen Wang, the founder and CEO, had a groundbreaking idea. As a passionate maker, Jasen realised how difficult it can be to turn a creative idea into reality. This drive gave rise to his first project: Makeblock.
Makeblock specialises in promoting STEAM education. The company helps young students develop their creativity by developing educational infrastructure - including robotics modules, coding software and laser cutters. The aim is to give pupils the tools to learn technical knowledge and creative skills through play.
At the end of 2020, Makeblock expanded its portfolio and entered the field of laser machines. With the xTool project, the product range was expanded so that not only students but also adults can benefit from the solutions. Creativity is not just about developing programming robots - it is also about personalising everyday objects, such as engraving names on mugs or creating works of art from wood.
With the launch of the first product, the xTool D1 in 2021, Jasen started a new chapter in his vision. While the Makeblock success story continues, xTool marks the start of an exciting new episode.
